Blog Challenge - LAST ONE!

If you could just pick up and travel anywhere--ANYWHERE--in the world, where would it be? Where have you always wanted to go but haven't been able to?

Ok. This is like asking about your favorite song or movie.. you can't pick just one.

I have wanted to visit Wales for as long as I can remember, and I have no idea why. I mean seriously, since I was a little girl - what the heck's in Wales?

I DUNNO! I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE!

Scotland - yup. Ireland - been there. England - blech, but yes, did that one too. Never really wanted to see any of them. They just happened to be where we went. But WALES. I swear, it gets more elusive every year.

I don't know if I'll ever get there. It definitely won't be anytime soon. Do you know how expensive it is to travel to Wales? Me either, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford it until I stop scrapbooking.

I'll just dream about it. But I'm not sure what I'm going to dream about, cause I don't know what's there. Isn't that weird?

Write about your guilty pleasures. The stuff you indulge yourself with - whether it be crappy tv, crappy food, or too many shoes. Don't hold back, give us your dirty little secrets!

I'm a closet "Vogue" and "In Style" magazine junkie. You'd never know it, the way I slop around in my sweats with no makeup, and you KNOW it's a good day if I actually manage to get my hair combed. But seriously, there's something about all those ads and the glamour and the runway models.. I dunno.

I LOVE looking at those magazines. LOVE them.

What song is it that just make your day, makes your toes tap no matter what, puts a smile on your face, or simply transports you back in time - AND WHY?

DAYDREAM BELIEVER by the Monkees - oh yeah. I admitted it.

My grandmother raised me, and I remember crying myself to sleep because I wanted to be with my mom. When I was upset, my grandma would sing "Daydream Believer" to me, because it was my mom's favorite song when she was little.

I can't even sing it to Zion - I cry everytime I hear it, but it makes me happy. It's one of those things that reminds me that my grandmother was ALWAYS there for me.

Name something you have recieved for a birthday gift. Can be something you like/dislike. Tell us about it. What you thought when you opened the package.

I'll just talk about the most recent, I guess...

Mike's birthstone is amethyst. Amethyst exudes a calming effect on its wearer, and it's my favorite gemstone.

Garnet, which is the stone that's in my wedding ring, symbolizes fidelity and loyalty.

Moonstones, which are my favorite non-gem stones, put you more in touch with your femininity, and I LOVE them.

So, last year for my birthday Mike got me a set of earrings for each stone (cause I have 3 holes in each ear), and then a necklace that had all three set in it. Pretty awesome present, and I love that he remembered all that. Well, ok, he probably didn't remember, but he knew what stones they were at least. I wuv him. =)

Alright. It's been forever since I've done any challenges, so I'm planning on using tonight to catch up (I'm on scrap-burn-out).

First challenge:

Without naming any names and without the need to tell stories, list TEN characteristics you desire a friend to have. Of course, not one friend may have all ten characteristics, but you are just making a list of ten things that might draw you into a friendship and keep you in that friendship. It's kind of like an "ideal" list. Then, list TEN characteristics about YOU that make you a good friend.

1. Imperfection
2. Wicked sense of humor
3. Creativity
4. Sense of adventure
5. The sense to know when to shut up
6. Huge scrapbooking stash
7. An Open Mind
8. Fierce loyalty
9. Cool shoes
10. Non-competetive

My "Good Friend" Characteristics:

1. Fierce loyalty
2. Cool shoes
3. Huge scrapbooking stash
4. An "up-for-anything" attitude
5. Aforementioned "wicked sense of humor"
6. Interesting back story
7. Great taste in music
8. My funky booty love (you know you want it)
9. I'm awake around the clock, so if you need someone to bail you out of jail at 3am, I'm your man.
10. Vast knowledge of movies (I can quote 'em so you don't have to watch 'em)

It's Finally Here..

...and I can't even go outside and enjoy it. You know what I'm talking about - the season I wait all year for. It's almost fall. The weather is cool enough to wear a sweater, the skies are overcast, it rains frequently, and it's almost time to hit the pumpkin patch.

Here I am, stuck inside, with too much work to do. I can't open the windows because Mike will DIE - his allergies are really, really bad right now. Poor guy is so miserable.

Maybe next week I'll have time to go romp and take some pictures. Until then, hope everyone enjoys fall without me! =(
