Focus, Sara, Focus

Alright, so I know I haven't been blogging a whole heckuva lot lately, but it seems like when I finally get the urge, there just isn't anything to blog about. Hence, the challenges. If you're bored, I apologize for not being blog-worthy, and please stop reading here.

And now, without further ado, I bring you yet ANOTHER blog challenge:

The Top 10 Surprises of my Life:

10. Duh.. motherhood. Whoda thunk it?
9. Scrapbooking - I thought this was the dumbest hobby, and here I am, about to teach it.
8. Marriage - TOTALLY different than I assumed (which is good, I think).
7. Being loved unconditionally - when you grow up like I did, the idea of someone loving you just because you're *you* is unthinkable. It's pretty cool when it happens.
6. The day my mom found out she was pregnant with my sister - she was banging her head against the door frame repeatedly when I came home from school. Yep - no planning there.
5. My grandmother back-handing me for smarting off to her (I was 7 - these things stick with you).
4. My mother ripping the solid oak door off of its hinges and threatening to hand me over to the division of family services because she "couldn't handle" me anymore (I was 13 - these things stick with you, too).
3. My grandmother telling the world what a wonderful mother I am.. me? wonderful? you must have mistaken me for your other, more imaginary granddaughter.
2. Realizing that I am actually old enough to have been friends with someone for over 2 decades (my buddy Melissa.. she's been there for-freaking-EVER, man).

And the number one surprise of my life...

1. The day my grandmother entrusted me with my great-grandmother's wedding ring. One of the absolute biggest moments of my entire life, and I STILL can't believe it happened. Blows me away every time I see it in my jewelry box (yup - totally scared poopless to wear it..).

No batteries

The other day, Zion wandered into the dining room naked, picked up a cowboy hat, walked over to my purse, pulled out $100 and my keys, and went to the door. He put the keys in the door. Apparently, he had a hot date.

My camera didn't have any batteries.
