One Down

Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes. We went to Mike's grandmother's funeral today - it was quite an experience. I said to someone earlier that I felt like I was watching a movie. There was action, adventure, suspense, LOTS of drama... I'm really struggling with this blog entry, because I don't feel like I should be laying my famly issues out on the table here.

I think I'll just say that it was a very emotional, very tiring day. We saw a lot of people that we haven't seen since we got married, but I guess that's the nature of funerals.

Ms. Melba was absolutely beautiful. She was dressed in a gorgeous lavender suit with sparklies all over it, and really, truly looked at peace.

She was extremely loved, and will be missed by everyone that knew her (ok, I'll admit - there are a few nurses aides that will probably not be saddened to hear of her passing..). She was a spitfire. =)

I thought of you often - and of Mike and his family. I am glad that you made it through the day - drama and all.

Oh Sara I left you a msg on your phone & totally forgot that you had Mike's Grandma's funeral that day. I'm so sorry. I can be a flake at times. Glad it went ok. Families aren't families unless there is drama. My family doesn't function without it.

Well shoot...I wanted to hear the drama but I understand not wanting to put it all out there for the world to read.

Just so you know...I feel dumb too...because I didn't know you didn't have a cell phone and I've been leaving messages on your phone like you have a cell phone! Duh! Well now I know better!
