Hypocritical Pet Owners

Earlier in the week, I mentioned that our neighbors called animal control about our dogs. Our dogs go outside, do their business, and come back inside. They're the mellowest, nicest dogs you'll ever meet - seriously. Everyone in our neighborhood LOVES them. Sometimes, the kids down the street knock on our door and ask if Isis and Rufus can come out and play.

These particular neighbors happen to have two puppies. They're probably about 6 months old - totally cute and adorable. One's a pitbull mix and one's a shepherd mix.

This morning, Mike and I heard rustling in the backyard. We wandered outside to find aforementioned puppies engaged in destroying Zion's swimming pool.

Being the nice neighbors that we are, we declined to contact animal control.

Sara, When the kids come home talking about a not-so-nice kid at school, my motto used to be "shower them with niceness". Chris thought that was a whimpy response, but being the optomistic person in our family, I like to believe that all people are good in some way and sometimes that "good" is just hidden a bit more. Anyhow, today - I think you showered your neighbors with niceness, whether or not they realized it.

I'd take a picture of the adorable puppies chewing on Zion's pool, buy a new pool and mail the picture and the pool receipt to the new neighbors!!!
