Wishing I was at Work
I know, I know - weird, weird title. But, I would really just like to be curled up in my big grey chair with my HUGE cup of coffee, scrapping the night away.
We made an emergency appointment for Mike to have his impacted/infected wisdom tooth removed this morning. They said it would cost $75. It ended up costing almost $500. Then, I chased my over-active son all over the continent all day - neither of us slept. By 6:00 this evening, I couldn't focus my eyes anymore.
My poor, drugged, pain-ridden husband got his wonderful self out of bed and took over babysitting duties for an hour and a half so I could get in a quick power nap. As Lisa says, "He's a good egg."
It's 10:20. I didn't get to scrapbook with Lisa today, like I've been looking forward to all week. The margaritas we've been talking about for two months have eluded me again. No cropping in Independence tonight either. I'm having withdrawals.
But, Zion is finally asleep. Mike just took another pain pill, so he'll be there shortly, too. I'm thinking this might be God's way of saying, "Ok, Sara, time to slow down. Take a breath and enjoy your night off."
So that's what I'm going to do. Hope everyone else has a happy night too. =)

In between Bethany waking up I did manage to give myself a pedicure! and have a few beers :)

We all share the stresses of life with overactive kids ... but - alas - when something strikes (like impacted third molars), it creates a different kind of chaos.
Hugs to you. Hope everyone is doing well now. I hope you had a chance to enjoy a drink! ;) Take care of you - see you Monday.

Gosh I could use a margarita too!
Sorry about Mike's tooth and the cost. I'm feeling his pain in his mouth and the pocketbook! My little foray into my mouth has been about 2 grand and we don't have dental insurance either.
So yes I could use a margarita with you and Lisa!
Get some beauty rest when you can.
If you ever need a daytime emergency sitter for Zion, I'd be happy to watch him for you. I'm sure Grant would love the interaction with somebody his age.
